The Team | Alan Hine: Managing Director
Alan graduated in law and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1988 after training with Grant Thornton. Post qualification he pursued an accountancy career within a small accountancy firm where he developed a specialism working with ambitious growing SMEs.
He subsequently combined his accountancy knowledge and strong interest in people with a successful career move into recruitment at one of the leading recruitment firms in the finance market.
With 20 years of experience in the industry Alan has well established contacts within the finance profession across London, the South East and the Midlands. He is considered as both a successful recruiter and a trusted adviser to many. Alan has held Board level appointments at two listed recruitment consultancies and also led the management team at a boutique search firm.
Alan has successfully recruited permanent and interim finance positions for clients ranging from SMEs to Plcs, from newly qualified to CFO.
The Team | Fred Edwards: Co-Founder
Fred is the co-founder of myFD Recruitment and remains an active shareholder in the business.
Having worked in senior financial roles in a £600m quoted group for seven years he then together with a former colleague acquired two timber distributors. These were merged and sold to a trade buyer.
He has worked for a number of years as a Director in business services groups and as an independent Finance Director. He founded myFD Recruitment with Alan Hine in November 2008.
The Team | Ian Wenman:Mentor
Ian acts as a mentor to Alan .He was for many years Managing Partner of a leading Oxfordshire Accountancy firm and Alan trained under him in 1980s.
Ian is Chairman of IOD in Oxfordshire , Director of OEP, sits on the business support group and is a mentor for Finance South East ,is a Director of Wenman Healthcare , a family company and has a number of Non Executive Directorships
